First Nation Studies Teacher Position

Location: Angus

Become part of the Simcoe County District School Board as a First Nation, Metis & Inuit Studies teacher. This Semester 1 LTO role involves engaging students and providing impactful education.

This assignment requires a commitment to teaching First Nation, Metis & Inuit Studies for one period. Your responsibilities will include effective instruction, evaluation of student progress, and managing classroom dynamics. As part of our diverse and inclusive team, you will foster an environment supportive of all backgrounds and experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver effective instruction in First Nation, Metis & Inuit Studies

• Evaluate and report on pupil progress to the principal

• Manage classroom activities and maintain safety procedures

• Collaborate with staff and community to enhance student learning

• Prepare teaching plans as directed by the principal

Requirements:

• Understanding of Indigenous education principles

• Willingness to complete mandatory training

• Permission to contact professional references

• Vulnerable Sector Check required before employment

• Engage with students from diverse backgrounds

Contribute to the educational journey of students by teaching First Nation, Metis & Inuit Studies at the Simcoe County District School Board.
