Early Learning Indigenous Resource Consultant

Support child inclusion in early learning programs as an Indigenous Resource Consultant in Simcoe County. This role helps educators implement effective strategies for children with developmental challenges.
In your role as a Resource Consultant, you will report to the Resource Consultant Supervisor and provide a variety of support services for early learning and childcare programs. You will work directly with educators to address each child's unique developmental needs. Collaboration on Individual Support Plans and curriculum development is central to achieving program goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Model intervention techniques during educator visits
• Create and maintain Individual Support Plans
• Develop curriculum modifications to support learning
• Conduct training sessions for parents and professionals
• Ensure compliance with program documentation requirements
Requirements:
• Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with special needs children
• Preferred Post Graduate Certificate in Resource Consulting
• Proven ability to communicate effectively
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
