Special Education Teacher - ASD Position

We seek a passionate educator for a semester-long LTO position covering two periods. As a key advocate for students with ASD, you’ll leverage your instructional talent and adaptability. You'll work closely with students, families, and staff to foster an equitable, diverse, and inclusive environment aligning with our commitment to the Ontario Human Rights Code and AODA.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver effective instruction and evaluation tailored to ASD students
• Prepare teaching plans and outlines in collaboration with the principal
• Maintain a safe and supportive classroom atmosphere
• Cooperate with other educators to ensure consistent practices
• Actively engage with students' families during meetings
Requirements:
• Relevant teaching qualifications in special education
• Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Commitment to diversity and inclusion principles
• Capability to collaborate with educational professionals
• Successful Vulnerable Sector Check prior to employment
