The Simcoe County District School Board is looking for a dedicated educator for a semester-long assignment in Life Skills education.
Your role will integrate effective instruction with a strong focus on diversity, equity, and individual student needs. You’ll collaborate with colleagues and leverage inclusive strategies while measuring student progress and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver instruction tailored to Life Skills curriculum
• Evaluate student progress and adapt teaching techniques
• Ensure classroom readiness before student arrival
• Participate in meetings with parents or guardians
• Cooperate with peers to support student placements
Requirements:
• Relevant teaching qualifications in Special Education
• Experience in Life Skills or similar educational settings
• Understanding of equity and inclusion principles
• Ability to maintain effective classroom management
• Must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
