This Long-Term Occasional (LTO) position requires skills in classroom management, lesson planning, and student progress reporting. You will collaborate with the principal and other educators, ensuring a productive educational experience for every pupil. Maintaining safety and consistency in student interactions is crucial to your role, as is preparing for each day's lessons promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging instructional programs in English
• Manage classroom activities and maintain discipline
• Prepare comprehensive teaching plans and submit as needed
• Complete report cards accurately for grades 1-12
• Participate in parent-teacher meetings and student assessments
Requirements:
• Experience in classroom instruction or teaching English
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Ability to collaborate with faculty and community
• Commitment to diverse and inclusive education
• Vulnerable Sector Check clearance required
Drive student success through effective teaching and community engagement as part of SCDSB.
