Position
Internal Contract – 0.5 Part-Time (2.5 days per week), Day 1‑5 PM only.
Responsibilities- Responsible for effective instruction, training, and evaluation of pupil progress in assigned subjects and for class management; report advancement to the principal upon request.
- Carry out supervisory duties and instructional program assigned by the principal and provide required information.
- Co‑operate with other teachers and the principal in all matters related to pupil instruction.
- Ensure classroom or teaching area is prepared and ready at least fifteen minutes before morning classes and five minutes before afternoon classes.
- Assist the principal in maintaining close cooperation with the community.
- Prepare teaching plans and outlines as required and submit them to the principal or appropriate supervisory officer on request.
- Ensure all reasonable safety procedures are followed in courses and activities for which the teacher is responsible.
- Co‑operate with the principal and other teachers to establish and maintain consistent disciplinary practices.
- Ensure report cards are fully and properly completed and processed in accordance with the governing guidelines.
- Co‑operate and assist in administering tests under the Education Quality and Accountability Office Act, 1996.
- Participate in regular meetings with pupils’ parents or guardians.
- Perform duties assigned by the principal related to cooperative placements of pupils and to the graduation of pupils.
Eligible internal teacher applying for the position, must provide permission to contact two professional references (current and most recent supervisor). New hires are required to submit a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check prior to beginning employment and complete mandatory training modules before the first day.
