Position
Internal Contract - 0.6 (0.2 SERT and 0.4 PLANNING TIME MUSIC), SPEC ED QUALS.
Time Commitment- 1.0 = 100% time or 5.0 days per week.
- 0.9 = 90% time or 4.5 days per week.
- 0.8 = 80% time or 4.0 days per week.
- 0.7 = 70% time or 3.5 days per week.
- 0.6 = 60% time or 3.0 days per week.
- 0.5 = 50% time or 2.5 days per week.
- 0.4 = 40% time or 2.0 days per week.
- 0.3 = 30% time or 1.5 days per week.
- 0.2 = 20% time or 1.0 day per week.
- 0.1 = 10% time or 0.5 days per week.

ResponsibilitiesIn addition to the duties assigned to the teacher under the Act and by the board, a teacher shall be responsible for effective instruction, training, and evaluation of the progress of pupils in the subjects assigned and for the management of the class or classes, and report to the principal on the progress of pupils on request.
Carry out the supervisory duties and instructional program assigned to the teacher by the principal and supply such information related thereto as the principal may require.
Co‑operate fully with teachers appointed under section 14 or 17 and with the principal in all matters related to the instruction of pupils.
Unless otherwise assigned by the principal, be present in the classroom or teaching area and ensure that the classroom or teaching area is ready for the reception of pupils at least fifteen minutes before the commencement of classes in the morning and, where applicable, five minutes before the commencement in the afternoon.
Assist the principal in maintaining close co‑operation with the community.
Prepare teaching plans and outlines as required and submit them to the principal or the appropriate supervisory officer on request.
Ensure that all reasonable safety procedures are carried out in courses and activities for which the teacher is responsible.
Co‑operate with the principal and other teachers to establish and maintain consistent disciplinary practices in the school.
Ensure that report cards are fully and properly completed and processed in accordance with the provincial guidelines for grades 1‑12.
Co‑operate and assist in the administration of tests under the Education Quality and Accountability Office Act, 1996.
Participate in regular meetings with pupils’ parents or guardians.
Perform duties as assigned by the principal in relation to co‑operative placements of pupils.
Perform duties normally associated with the graduation of pupils.
