Position: Civics and Careers Teacher Simcoe County

Elevate student engagement as a Civics and Careers Teacher with Simcoe County District School Board. This role emphasizes effective instruction, classroom management, and collaboration with peers and the principal.

As a teacher in this position, you will be responsible for the educational progress of your students in civics and careers, focusing on effective training and evaluations. Engage actively with fellow educators and collaborate on instructional programs while managing a welcoming classroom environment. You'll also conduct meetings with parents and fulfill essential duties for student graduation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver effective instruction and evaluation of student progress

• Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials as required

• Maintain classroom readiness prior to lessons

• Conduct parent meetings to discuss student performance

• Assist in administration of educational assessments

Requirements:

• Valid teaching certification in Ontario

• Strong understanding of curriculum and assessment methods

• Commitment to equity and inclusion principles

• Ability to pass a Vulnerable Sector Check

• Willingness to complete mandatory training
