Position: Special Education Teacher for ASD

Make a difference in students' lives as a Special Education Teacher focused on Autism Spectrum Disorder with Simcoe County District School Board. This semester-long LTO is designed to support and educate diverse learners in an inclusive environment.

The Simcoe County District School Board is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a one-semester LTO assignment. You will engage in effective instruction and evaluation of students in a supportive classroom setting. This role allows you to implement inclusive teaching practices and fulfill supervisory duties while managing various learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver effective instructional plans

• Evaluate student progress and report to the principal

• Cooperate with staff for an integrated instruction approach

• Maintain safety procedures in the classroom

• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians

Requirements:

• Teaching qualification specific to Special Education

• Experience working with students with disabilities

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Commitment to diversity and inclusion

• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
