As a Long-Term Occasional (LTO) teacher, you'll provide instruction in Civics and Careers, ensuring effective evaluation and management of classroom activities. This position entails preparing lesson plans, cooperating with staff, and maintaining safety and discipline in the classroom. Commitment to equity and inclusion is essential as you support diverse student needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver effective instruction in Civics and Careers
• Evaluate and report on student progress
• Prepare teaching plans as required
• Ensure classroom readiness before student arrival
• Maintain consistent disciplinary practices and safety
Requirements:
• Valid teaching certification in Ontario
• Experience in classroom management
• Strong communication skills with students and parents
• Commitment to equity and diversity in education
• VSC clearance before employment starts
