Join Simcoe County District School Board as a Guitar Instructor for I/S Music classes. This role focuses on empowering students through effective music education across three periods.
As a Guitar Instructor under the Simcoe County District School Board, you will manage a long-term occasional assignment teaching guitar in I/S Music.
Your role encompasses preparing lessons, supervising classroom activities, and evaluating student progress in musical skills. This position requires commitment and expertise to create an engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging music instruction focusing on guitar skills
• Prepare and submit detailed lesson plans to the principal
• Ensure classroom readiness and student safety at all times
• Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student success
Requirements:
• Teaching certification in music education or related fields
• Proven experience in instructional environments
• Ability to engage students through diverse teaching methods
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Provide references and pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
