Enhance learning in special education as a teacher for ASD students in a Semester 1 LTO role. Collaborate with peers and manage classrooms effectively within the Simcoe County District School Board.
This role involves two periods of teaching special education focused on Autism Spectrum Disorder. As a teacher, your responsibilities will include instructing, evaluating progress, and preparing teaching plans. You are expected to create an inclusive and supportive environment for learners. Attend regular meetings with parents and cooperate with other staff to ensure effective instructional delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver effective instructional programs for ASD students
• Evaluate and report on pupil progress to the principal
• Prepare and submit teaching plans as required
• Maintain classroom readiness at the start of each class
• Participate in meetings with parents and guardians
Requirements:
• Valid teaching certification
• Experience in special education preferred
• Ability to manage classroom safety and discipline
• Strong collaboration skills with educators
