Position: Semester 1 LTO - 3 Periods Basic/Advanced Construction Technology
Location: Bradford West Gwillimbury

Principal – Simcoe County District School Board

We are seeking a Principal to lead the curriculum, foster student growth and collaborate with the board.

Salary and Effective Date

LTO Salary Range effective September 1, 2025: $59,128 – $119,974 (pro‑rated if less than full time).

Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for effective instruction, training and evaluation of pupil progress and for the management of classes; report to the principal on pupil progress as required.
  • Carry out supervisory duties and instructional program assigned by the principal and supply information related thereto.
  • Co‑operate fully with teachers and the principal in all matters related to pupil instruction.
  • Be present in the classroom or teaching area and ensure that the area is ready for pupils at least fifteen minutes before the commencement of classes in the morning and, where applicable, five minutes before the commencement of classes in the afternoon.
  • Assist the principal in maintaining close cooperation with the community.
  • Prepare teaching plans and outlines as required by the principal and submit them on request.
  • Ensure that all reasonable safety procedures are carried out in courses and activities for which the teacher is responsible.
  • Co‑operate with the principal and other teachers to establish and maintain consistent disciplinary practices.
  • Ensure that report cards are fully and properly completed and processed in accordance with provincial guidelines.
  • Co‑operate and assist in the administration of tests under the Education Quality and Accountability Office Act, 1996.
  • Participate in regular meetings with pupils’ parents or guardians.
  • Perform duties as assigned by the principal in relation to cooperative placements of pupils.
  • Perform duties normally associated with the graduation of pupils.
