The Assistant Educator position at Upper Canada Child Care invites candidates to work casually at various PS locations in Barrie. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with educational guidelines while fostering a nurturing environment for children. Candidates must commit to a minimum of five assigned shifts each month and participate in ongoing professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute the play-based program in alignment with organizational standards
• Participate actively in children's learning activities
• Foster relationships with parents about program updates
• Complete administrative tasks including daily reports
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance educational offerings
Requirements:
• Health assessment and vaccination documentation needed
• CPR-C and Standard First Aid certification required
• Understanding of child development principles
• Experience with program implementation in early education
• Ability to manage physical activities and supervision outdoors
