Become a temporary English as a Second Language Instructor with Simcoe County District School Board. Teach various adult learners across multiple locations from September 2026 through June 2027.
This role requires a TESL Ontario Certificate and expertise in implementing the Canadian Language Benchmark framework. A commitment to fostering a flexible and inclusive learning environment is crucial, along with strong communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement ESL teaching methods for adults
• Prepare lesson plans aligned with student learning levels
• Conduct assessments based on the Canadian Language Benchmark
• Work both autonomously and with a collaborative team
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learner needs
Requirements:
• TESL Ontario Certificate is a must
• Proficient in the Canadian Language Benchmark framework
• Strong computer and communication skills needed
• Flexibility to modify instruction for diverse learning styles
• Preferred experience in adult ESL instruction
