The Simcoe County District School Board seeks a Contract External SERT Teacher for a 0.8 role spanning Day 1-5 in a SPEC ED setting. Ideal candidates should have teaching experience and a commitment to diversity and equity. You will need to support diverse learners while creating an effective and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver effective instruction and manage classroom behavior
• Collaborate with colleagues on educational programs
• Prepare detailed instructional plans as required
• Engage with parents and guardians during regular meetings
• Ensure safety procedures are followed during classes
Requirements:
• Experience in teaching with confirmed permanent contract
• Knowledge of special education best practices
• Commitment to equity and inclusion in education
• Ability to prepare comprehensive class outlines
• Successful Vulnerable Sector Check required
