Grade 1 Teacher Position at SCDSB

Location: wasaga beach

Elevate the learning experience at Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) as a Grade 1 Teacher. This contract external role values equity and seeks educators with five years of experience.
We are looking for an experienced Grade 1 Teacher under contract from the SCDSB. Ideal candidates must have a strong background in teaching and self-identify with designated equity groups as outlined under the Employment Equity Act. Your teaching responsibilities include effective instruction, evaluation of student progress, and classroom management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver effective instruction and classroom management

• Evaluate student progress and report as required

• Prepare teaching plans and outlines for classes

• Maintain cooperative relations with community and parents

• Ensure safety procedures in all activities
Requirements:

• Minimum five years of teaching experience

• Confirmation of employment history through resume

• Consent for two professional reference contacts

• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check prior to employment

• Completion of mandatory training before commencing
