Position

Contract External – 0.3 PLANNING TIME. P/J DAY 2, 3, 4

• Provide effective instruction, training and evaluation of pupil progress in assigned subjects.
• Manage the class or classes and maintain a ready classroom environment at least fifteen minutes before the start of morning lessons and five minutes before afternoon lessons.
• Carry out supervisory duties and instructional programs as directed by the principal.
• Collaborate with the principal and other teachers to establish consistent disciplinary practices.
• Prepare and submit teaching plans and outlines to the principal or appropriate supervisory officer on request.
• Ensure all reasonable safety procedures are carried out in courses and activities.
• Confirm that report cards are fully and properly completed and processed in accordance with Ontario standards, in English or French, and that they are signed by parents or guardians.
• Co‑operate with the principal in community relations, regular meetings with parents, and the administration of tests.
• Perform duties related to cooperative placements of pupils and support graduation processes.

• At least five (5) years of permanent contract teaching experience with another board, confirmable through resume and application.
• Self‑identify with one or more of the four equity‑deserving groups designated under federal or provincial provisions.
• For French or Indigenous language (NSL) teachers: must meet the five‑year requirement for teaching French or NSL within the contract period or be in a French or NSL position as outlined by Article 9.02.
