Grade 7​/8 French Immersion Teacher

Elevate your teaching career as a Grade 7/8 French Immersion Teacher at the Simcoe County District School Board. This full-time LTO position seeks an experienced educator with FSL qualifications to inspire students.

We are looking for a qualified educator for a 1.0 FTE position across Grade 7 and 8. Candidates must possess at least five years of permanent contract teaching experience with confirmations from previous boards. You will engage in effective instruction and support diverse learners in your classroom while collaborating with the principal and faculty.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide effective instruction and evaluate student performance

• Manage classroom environments and report to the principal

• Assist in test administration and grading as required

• Prepare teaching plans and participate in regular meetings

• Foster community cooperation and maintain safety protocols

Requirements:

• Minimum five years of permanent teaching experience

• Valid FSL qualifications and Ontario teaching certificate

• Professional references required for application

• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check required

• Completion of mandatory training before employment
