Location: Beeton
Enhance your teaching career with the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) as an LTO Grade 1/2 teacher. This role requires a commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment while ensuring effective instruction and student evaluation.
You will be engaged in a full-time LTO position, collaborating closely with the principal, Mike Pattison, to support student learning and community connections. Key responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, managing classroom environments, and participating in student evaluations. Ideal candidates are those who can demonstrate 5 or more years of teaching experience and align with the SCDSB’s values of diversity and equity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver effective instruction and manage classroom behavior
• Prepare lesson plans as requested by the principal
• Evaluate student progress and maintain communication with parents
• Ensure classroom safety and readiness before class
• Collaborate with peers to maintain consistent practices
Requirements:
• 5+ years of teaching experience in a permanent contract
• Commitment to equity and inclusion in education
• Valid teaching certification in Ontario
• Permission for two professional references
• Successful Vulnerable Sector Check required
