Position Summary
The Manager of Training leads our training initiatives to ensure consistent, high-quality employee development across our national franchises. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing training programs that enhance employee performance, maintain brand standards, and drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a passion for developing talent and fostering a culture of learning within the restaurant industry.

Duties and Responsibilities
Training Strategy & Leadership

Partner on the development of a comprehensive training strategy aligned with company goals.

Create and update learning programs for all levels, including new hires, managers, and leadership teams.

Establish and maintain brand-wide training standards to ensure consistency across locations.

Employee Development & Performance

Oversee onboarding programs to ensure smooth integration of new employees.

Implement leadership training programs to build a strong management pipeline.

Partner to build out and maintain train the trainer and other programmatic resources.

Operational & Culinary Training

Develop and maintain standardized training materials for front-of-house, back-of-house, and kitchen teams.

Ensure proper training on food preparation, menu execution, and safety protocols.

Work closely with culinary and operations teams to introduce new menu items and procedures.

Training Delivery & Evaluation

Utilize a mix of in-person training, e-learning, and hands‑on coaching with direct reports and franchise partners.

Monitor training effectiveness through performance metrics, franchisee feedback and employee feedback.

Continuously improve training programs based on data, best practices, and industry trends.

Partner with the broader team to ensure all training aligns with health and safety regulations, labor laws, and brand policies.

Maintain a culture of guest experience excellence through targeted training initiatives.

Develop and implement hospitality-focused training to enhance the guest experience.

Minimum Requirements

2+ years of experience in training & development, preferably in the restaurant industry.

Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills.

Experience designing and implementing training programs at a multi‑unit level.

Knowledge of adult learning principles and training technologies.

Ability to travel as needed to different locations.

Working Conditions

This is a full‑time position, requiring early morning availability as our restaurant focuses on breakfast service.

Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Pay
CA $70,000.00‑CA $85,000.00 per year
