ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE INSTRUCTOR
Temporary:
Night school nights on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm.
Locations:
Various, depending on student need and geographic location.
Start Dates:
Semester 1:
September 15, 2026 – January 21, 2027.
Semester 2:
February 2, 2027 – June 10, 2027.
Salary: OSSTF District 17, Instructor’s Collective Agreement.
Qualifications Required- TESL Ontario Certificate; in depth understanding of the Canadian Language Benchmark framework and ability to apply it in lesson planning and assessments.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to be flexible and respond to a wide range of student needs and learning styles.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Experience teaching Adult ESL in a continuous intake classroom setting with individualized instruction.
- Familiarity with Canadian Citizenship test preparation curriculum.
- All fees for the application process are covered by the Simcoe County District School Board.
