As part of the Human Services & Community Safety Department, you will design and deliver engaging curriculum tailored for pre-service firefighter training. Your responsibility includes evaluating student progress while also maintaining a supportive and inclusive classroom environment. Classes are held in the evening, allowing flexibility for students with other commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver lectures and practical training for firefighter courses
• Develop and revise curriculum according to course goals
• Assess and track student performance effectively
• Engage in program improvement initiatives
• Foster a positive and impactful learning experience
Requirements:
• NFPA 1031 Certification required;
Level II preferred
• Minimum five years of experience in firefighting
• Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations and codes
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Passion for teaching and promoting student success
