Assignment Details and Position Overview
Grade: 7/8,
FTE Options: 1.0 FTE (100% time, 5.0 days/week) – 0.1 FTE (10% time, 0.5 days/week)
Principal: LISA KENNY
Key Responsibilities- Provide effective instruction, training and evaluation of pupils in the assigned subjects.
- Manage the class or classes and report on pupil progress to the principal upon request.
- Carry out supervisory duties and instructional program assigned by the principal, supplying required information.
- Co‑operate with teachers appointed under section 14 or 17 and with the principal in all instructional matters.
- Be present in the classroom or teaching area at least fifteen minutes before morning classes and five minutes before afternoon classes, unless otherwise assigned.
- Assist the principal in maintaining close cooperation with the community.
- Prepare, submit and adhere to teaching plans and outlines as required by the principal or supervisory officer.
- Ensure all reasonable safety procedures are carried out in courses and activities.
- Co‑operate with the principal and other teachers to establish consistent disciplinary practices.
- Ensure that report cards are fully and properly completed and processed according to provincial guidelines.
- Co‑operate and assist in the administration of tests under the Education Quality and Accountability Office Act, 1996.
- Participate in regular meetings with pupils’ parents or guardians.
- Perform duties related to co‑operative placements of pupils as assigned by the principal.
- Perform duties normally associated with the graduation of pupils.

- Applicants must confirm having five or more years of permanent contract teaching experience with another board, verifiable through their resume and application.
