Join SCDSB as a full-time Grade 6/7 teacher. Engage in effective instruction and collaborative education practices within a supportive community.
This role requires a commitment of 1.0 FTE, meaning five full days a week. Candidates should possess five or more years of permanent contract teaching experience with proven capabilities. Key responsibilities include class management, lesson preparation, and cooperation with staff to ensure student success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver effective instruction and evaluation of students
• Manage classes and report progress to the principal
• Prepare and submit teaching plans to the principal
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures in all activities
• Maintain consistent disciplinary practices across classes
Requirements:
• Minimum five years of teaching experience with another board
• Self-identify with an equity-deserving group
• Strong communication and cooperation skills
• Commitment to inclusive education practices
• Ability to engage with the community and parents
