Note:

Responsibilities- Be responsible for effective instruction, training and evaluation of pupil progress in assigned subjects and for classroom management, reporting progress to the principal upon request.
- Carry out supervisory duties and instructional programs assigned by the principal, supplying required information.
- Cooperate fully with teachers appointed under sections 14 or 17 and with the principal on all instructional matters.
- Be present in the classroom or teaching area and ensure readiness at least fifteen minutes before morning classes and five minutes before afternoon classes unless otherwise assigned.
- Assist the principal in maintaining close cooperation with the community.
- Prepare teaching plans and outlines as required and submit them upon request.
- Ensure all reasonable safety procedures are followed in courses and activities.
- Cooperate with the principal and other teachers to establish consistent disciplinary practices.
- Ensure report cards are fully and properly completed and processed in accordance with provincial guidelines.
- Cooperate and assist in administering tests under the Education Quality and Accountability Office Act, 1996.
- Participate in regular meetings with pupils’ parents or guardians.
- Perform duties assigned by the principal regarding cooperative placements of pupils.
- Perform duties normally associated with pupil graduation.
These responsibilities are established under R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 298, s. 20.
