Music Planning Teacher

Position: Full-Time Music Planning Teacher
Teach music with Simcoe County District School Board in this full-time role. Engage students through effective instruction, training, and assessment in a supportive environment.

We are seeking a 1.0 FTE Planning Time Music Teacher to join our dedicated educational team. The successful candidate will be responsible for effective teaching, evaluation of student progress, and collaboration with other staff.

Experience with equity-deserving groups and a minimum of five years in permanent teaching positions are key to this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver music instruction tailored to student needs

• Assess and report on student progress to the principal

• Organize instructional plans and teaching outlines

• Maintain safety and effective classroom management

• Participate in meetings with parents to discuss student development

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience with prior contracts

• Knowledge of equity and inclusion practices

• Ability to create engaging lesson plans

• Strong communication skills with students and parents

• Vulnerable Sector Check clearance required
