Part-Time Educator

Position: Part-Time Contract Educator Needed
Join the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) as a Part-Time Contract Educator, dedicating 1.5 days each week. This role supports inclusive teaching practices and pupil evaluation in a collaborative setting.
As a Contract Educator with SCDSB, you will facilitate effective instruction and provide meaningful feedback on student progress. Applicants should have a proven background in contract teaching and a commitment to equity in education. Responsibilities include preparing lesson outlines and being actively involved in community interactions as directed by the principal.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct and evaluate pupil progress in assigned subjects

• Prepare teaching plans for classroom use

• Be present in the classroom at least 15 minutes early

• Cooperate with community and school staff

• Manage report card documentation in both English and French
Requirements:

• At least five years of prior teaching experience

• Vulnerable Sector Check mandatory for employment

• Proven ability to support diverse student needs

• Skills in collaborating with fellow educators

• Familiarity with provincial educational guidelines
