FTE Options- 1.0 FTE = 100% time or 5.0 days per week
- 0.9 FTE = 90% time or 4.5 days per week
- 0.8 FTE = 80% time or 4.0 days per week
- 0.7 FTE = 70% time or 3.5 days per week
- 0.6 FTE = 60% time or 3.0 days per week
- 0.5 FTE = 50% time or 2.5 days per week
- 0.4 FTE = 40% time or 2.0 days per week
- 0.3 FTE = 30% time or 1.5 days per week
- 0.2 FTE = 20% time or 1.0 day per week
- 0.1 FTE = 10% time or 0.5 days per week
- Effective instruction, training and evaluation of pupils in the subjects assigned; management of the class or classes as required.
- Carry out supervisory duties and instructional programs assigned by the principal; supply required information.
- Co‑operate with teachers appointed under section 14 or 17 and with the principal in all instructional matters.
- Ensure classroom readiness at least fifteen minutes before morning classes and five minutes before afternoon classes, unless otherwise assigned.
- Assist the principal in maintaining close cooperation with the community.
- Prepare teaching plans and outlines as required; submit them to the principal or corresponding supervisory officer on request.
- Ensure all reasonable safety procedures are carried out in courses and activities under the teacher’s responsibility.
- Co‑operate with the principal and other teachers to establish consistent disciplinary practices.
- Ensure report cards are fully and properly completed and processed according to the provincial guidelines in both English and French.
- Co‑operate and assist in the administration of tests under the Education Quality and Accountability Office Act, 1996.
- Participate in regular meetings with pupils’ parents or guardians.
- Perform duties related to co‑operative placements of pupils as assigned by the principal.
- Perform duties normally associated with the graduation of pupils.
- Minimum five (5) years of permanent contract teaching experience with another board, verifiable through resume and application.
