Position: Contract Special Education Teacher - 0.8 FTE
Location: Innisfil

Join the Simcoe County District School Board as a Contract Special Education Teacher at 0.8 FTE, instructing students 4 days a week. Ensure effective learning and community engagement daily.

This role involves teaching 0.8 SERT, focusing on delivering quality education during Day 1-5 AM class schedules. Candidates will be responsible for instructional duties, community cooperation, and maintaining a prepared classroom environment. Collaboration with fellow educators and responsiveness to student needs will be vital.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage classroom instruction and pupil evaluations

• Deliver approved instructional programs and supervisorial duties

• Ensure classrooms are ready before each session starts

• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians

• Maintain accurate records of student evaluations and tests

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of permanent teaching experience

• Proven track record in special education

• Strong commitment to safety and inclusion

• Submit a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check

• Engage with school community and administration
