Position: Contract External Teaching Position
Location: Beeton

Become a Contract External Teacher with the Simcoe County District School Board, working 50% of the time focused on effective classroom instruction. Deliver educational excellence in a supportive, equitable environment.

This role requires engaging students in a part-time teaching role with substantial responsibilities. Applicants must have at least five years of permanent contract teaching experience, reflecting a commitment to the education sector. Ensure classroom readiness, maintain discipline, and contribute to teaching plans while promoting a culture of equity and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide effective instruction and evaluation of student progress

• Manage classroom behavior and report to the principal

• Prepare teaching plans and lesson outlines for classes

• Ensure classrooms are ready before the start of school

• Cooperate with community and school administration

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years teaching experience

• Commitment to equity and diverse student needs

• Willingness to cooperate with colleagues

• Current Vulnerable Sector Check required

• Complete mandatory training before employment
