Position: Full-Time Grade 2 Teacher Opportunity

SCDSB, led by Principal Angela Cook, is seeking motivated educators to fill a Grade 2 teaching position. Applicants must demonstrate five or more years of teaching experience with a permanent contract in another board. Your responsibilities include designing engaging lesson plans, managing classroom dynamics, and fostering positive relationships with students and families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lessons tailored to Grade 2 curriculum

• Assess and document student progress regularly

• Collaborate with peers and administrators for instructional support

• Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment

• Conduct regular communication with parents regarding student performance

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of confirmed permanent teaching experience

• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

• Availability for professional reference checks

• Must complete a Vulnerable Sector Check

• Familiarity with various instructional methodologies
