Special Needs Educational Assistant Position

As an Educational Assistant, you will work directly with students who have special needs, providing essential physical, academic, and emotional support. Experience working with students exhibiting behavioral difficulties is vital, as well as relevant qualifications. You'll play a crucial role in developing students' unique talents and guiding them toward independence in a collaborative school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support academic learning for students with exceptional needs

• Help students develop independence and decision-making skills

• Collaborate closely with educational staff and families

• Address behavioral and emotional needs effectively

• Promote an inclusive and respectful classroom atmosphere

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience in special education

• College Diploma or related educational background

• Training in Behaviour Management Systems is an asset

• Proven ability to work as part of a team

• Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
