Position: Grade 2/3 Long-Term Occasional Teacher
Location: Bradford West Gwillimbury

Become a vital part of student education as a Long-Term Occasional Teacher for Grades 2/3 at Simcoe County District School Board. This role emphasizes social equity and inclusion in teaching.

Under Principal Greg Blakeley, the SCDSB seeks a committed teacher for a 1.0 FTE position in a diverse classroom setting. You will deliver effective instructional practices while evaluating student performance and creating lesson plans. The position also values identifying with equity-deserving groups and requires written interview responses and professional references.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and implement lesson plans according to curriculum standards

• Conduct student assessments and provide progress reports

• Facilitate a supportive and engaging classroom atmosphere

• Collaborate with other educators for student welfare

• Communicate with parents to discuss student performance

Requirements:

• Must possess valid Ontario teaching certification

• 5+ years of permanent contract teaching experience

• Willing to engage in written interview process

• Provide two references including current supervisor

• Successful Vulnerable Sector Check required
