Assistant Educator

Position: Assistant Educator Role at Upper Canada Child Care
Join Upper Canada Child Care as an Assistant Educator focusing on play-based learning l's CS in Alliston. This full-time role involves a split shift working in our Before and After School programs.

We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Educator to meet compliance with operational and curriculum guidelines. Your responsibilities will include engaging with children and implementing developmentally appropriate programs while fostering effective communication with parents. This position promotes an educational environment rooted in safety, trust, and respect.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement programs consistent with Ministry of Education standards

• Assist children with meals, toileting, and dressing

• Maintain ongoing communication with parents

• Complete daily logs and program charts

• Identify children needing additional support

Requirements:

• Health assessment and immunization record

• Certification in CPR-C and Standard First Aid

• Experience in inquiry/play-based program design

• Strong communication skills with families and colleagues

• Capability to supervise children in various environments
