Part-Time School Age Educator YMCA

Become a vital part of children's growth as a Part-Time School Age Educator with the Saint Gabriel YMCA in Barrie, ON. Engage with children, foster learning, and ensure their safety every day.

As a Registered Early Childhood Educator, you'll provide nurturing and educational support in our after-school program.

Your role includes personal care for up to 15 children, implementing play-based learning as per YMCA curriculum, and maintaining positive communication with families. We value educators who can adapt to various needs, offering inclusivity and care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care, including toileting and first aid

• Engage actively with children in a fun, safe setting

• Plan and execute play-based learning activities

• Communicate positively with families and volunteers

• Support children with exceptional behaviours and needs

Requirements:

• Minimum 18 years of age

• Current First Aid and CPR certification

• Strong communication skills and relationship-building

• Ability to lift up to 20 kg

• Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators
