    AECOM
    is currently seeking candidates for Archaeology Field Technician positions (Levels 1 –
    4)
    , based out of our offices in
    London, Barrie, Peterborough, Sault St. Marie,Timmins,
    Mississauga, or Hamilton
    . These are unionized positions under the collective agreement with LiUNA.

    Technicians will support archaeological fieldwork (Stages 2–4) under the guidance of a Field Supervisor, including artifact recovery, field documentation, and assisting with team leadership and training. Travel across Ontario and working in all weather conditions will be required.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Conduct archaeological field work under the guidance of a field supervisor.
    • Identify and recover Indigenous and Euro-Canadian artifacts
    • Follow Health and Safety protocols adhere to all AECOM procedures.
    • Travel extensively across Ontario for extended periods.
    • Take on a junior leadership role during field operations.
    • Assist the Field Supervisor with technical aspects of field work.
