Position: High-Speed Controls Engineer Ontario
Join VOLCANIX AUTOMATION as a High-Speed Controls Engineer focused on advanced industrial automation. This role involves PLC programming and system commissioning in a dynamic workshop setting for approximately 7 months.
As a Controls Engineer, you will work primarily in the West GTA region of Ontario, Canada, supporting high-speed automation projects across North America. Your responsibilities will include PLC integration and troubleshooting in environments such as life sciences and pharmaceutical manufacturing, with potential short-term assignments in the U.S.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform PLC programming for high-speed systems

• Commission advanced manufacturing automation

• Integrate SCADA systems and HMI solutions

• Troubleshoot automation issues on-site

• Collaborate on robotics and vision system projects
Requirements:

• Strong PLC programming experience, preferably Allen-Bradley

• Willingness to travel for customer site assignments

• Excellent troubleshooting skills in industrial settings

• Strong English communication skills

• Engineering or technical degree is preferred
