Position: Operator for Wastewater Treatment Facility
The City of Barrie seeks a dedicated Wastewater Treatment Operator to ensure effective treatment facility operations. This role emphasizes SCADA monitoring and regulatory compliance to protect community health.

As a member of the Wastewater Operations Team, you will maintain and operate treatment systems while ensuring they meet all legislative standards. Acting as the Operator-in-Charge, your role is crucial for monitoring processes and achieving optimal performance. Your expertise will directly impact the safety and environmental sustainability of our water resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage equipment and systems at wastewater treatment facility

• Serve as Operator-in-Charge for various components

• Utilize SCADA information for process evaluation and control

Requirements:

• Three-year College Diploma in relevant field

• Completion of required Wastewater Treatment and Collection Licences

• Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s Licence

• Medical documentation for respirator use

• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check
