Lakehead University seeks a Laboratory Technologist (Level
B) to enhance the undergraduate learning experience within the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering. Responsibilities include preparing and instructing lab courses, working closely with faculty for course alignment, and evaluating students’ lab performance. You will also develop lab content, manage lab facilities, and train Graduate Assistants in delivering effective lab solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach and prepare undergraduate lab-related material
• Collaborate with faculty for lab course design
• Assess student’s academic performance
• Supervise lab assistants and coordinate duties
• Maintain lab safety and technical standards
Requirements:
• BASc or BEng in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
• Experience in educational lab environments
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Knowledge of safety protocols in lab settings
• Willingness to adapt skills in various areas
