Elevate your career with the City of Barrie as a Wastewater Treatment Operator! This position focuses on safe operations and adherence to environmental regulations within our treatment facilities.
You will play an essential role in the Wastewater Operations Branch, ensuring compliance while operating and maintaining the treatment systems. As Operator-in-Charge, you will analyze SCADA data to optimize processes and enhance performance. This position is vital for maintaining community health and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain municipal wastewater treatment equipment
• Act as Operator-in-Charge for the treatment systems
• Monitor SCADA to control treatment processes effectively
Requirements:
• College Diploma in Civil/Environmental Engineering Technology or similar
• Valid Wastewater Treatment and Collection Licences from MECP
• Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s Licence
• Medical fitness documentation for respirator use
• Satisfactory background check
