In this pivotal role, your experience will directly influence the design of complex tooling systems used in automated environments. You will create detailed 3D models and production drawings in Solid Works, integrating customer requirements into effective fixturing solutions. Collaborating with fabrication teams, you'll ensure designs accommodate real-world constraints while applying GD&T principles for accuracy and success in production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design jigs and fixtures with a focus on welding applications

• Develop detailed 3D models and production drawings in Solid Works

• Collaborate with production teams for real-world design alignment

• Identify and resolve design issues early in the process

• Mentor junior designers on best practices and standards

Requirements:

• 5 to 8+ years of design experience in manufacturing

• Advanced proficiency in Solid Works

• Strong knowledge of welding processes and impacts on design

• Solid understanding of GD&T principles

• Proven track record in shop floor implementation
