Mechanical Designer with SolidWorks

Location: Bradford West Gwillimbury

Elevate your design skills at Channel Industrial as a Mechanical Designer in Bradford, Ontario. Utilize your CAD expertise to create custom metal products and support manufacturing processes.

In this role, you'll engage directly with Sales, Engineering, and Production teams to prepare 3D models and detailed drawings for custom steel fabrications. Your experience with Solid Works will be crucial in ensuring designs align with manufacturing requirements and customer specifications, while offering day-to-day technical support to resolve shop floor issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create 3D models and 2D drawings in CAD for custom projects

• Design and modify products per specifications and standards

• Update designs based on feedback, ensuring quality and manufacturability

• Solve technical problems on the shop floor during fabrication

• Collaborate with teams to align designs and ERP entries

Requirements:

• Graduate in Mechanical Design or related field

• 3+ years of mechanical design experience in manufacturing

• Knowledge of welding, machining, and thermal cutting

• Proficiency with ERP systems like JobBOSS²

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
