Test iGUIDE camera accuracy and reliability at Planitar’s hybrid Waterloo headquarters, spanning embedded hardware, connectivity, and mobile software.
This Senior Systems Test Engineer owns quality where cameras and the PLANIX Mobile App work together. You will validate real hardware, investigate failures, and strengthen release coverage. Collaboration with firmware, mobile, cloud, Product Management, and UX supports testable requirements from development through launch.
Key Responsibilities:- Validate camera accuracy, battery behavior, connectivity, and interruption recovery
- Configure equipment for automated routine testing
- Exercise connecting, scanning, saving, transferring, and exporting workflows
- Find failures across cameras, phones, and applications
- Review coverage and detect issues earlier
- Five-plus years of test engineering experience
- Physical-device testing with diagnostic lab equipment
- Ability to read code during root-cause analysis
- Methodical approach to product failure modes
- Camera, sensor, lidar, or measurement-hardware experience is a bonus
