Technical Project Manager Consumer Electronics
Lead consumer electronics delivery from concept through production in Hastings, using project planning and hardware development expertise. Work with international teams and Asian manufacturing partners.
This Technical Project Manager position suits an experienced project leader in engineering, product development, NPI, or hardware development. You will coordinate electronics, software, and mechanical engineering teams alongside external partners. The role focuses on delivering products on time, within budget, and ready for volume manufacture. Commercial awareness, technical understanding, and manufacturing experience are central to the work.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage hardware projects from concept through production and launch support
- Coordinate electronics, software, mechanical, and external development teams
- Maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and planning tools
- Manage engineering changes, RFIs, RFQs, and documentation
- Monitor risks and support manufacturing readiness activities
- Experience delivering projects within a manufacturing environment
- Strong product development, engineering, and manufacturing process understanding
- Experience with offshore manufacturers, suppliers, or supply chains
- Project planning, scheduling, and resource management skills
- Commercial experience reviewing costs, budgets, and supplier quotations
