Advance your career as a Property Standards Officer with the Town of Midland. This part-time role involves interpreting by-laws and ensuring community compliance.
This part-time position requires you to work between 14–24 hours weekly, enforcing by-laws under the guidance of the Manager of Municipal Law Enforcement. Your ability to analyze compliance and educate the public will significantly contribute to maintaining community standards. You will manage property inquiries and assist with by-law administration and enforcement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Interpret and administer municipal by-laws
• Analyze best practices for by-law enforcement
• Investigate and resolve compliance complaints
• Prepare and issue Notices for violations
• Conduct inspections and compile reports
Requirements:
• Diploma in Law and Security, Police Foundations
• Two years of experience in municipal law enforcement
• Certification as a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to work flexible hours and in various environments
