Behavioural Support Specialist at LOFT

Location: bradford west gwillimbury

Make a difference in the lives of seniors by joining LOFT Community Services as a Behavioural Support Specialist located in Bradford, ON. Focus on providing comprehensive support for clients displaying responsive behaviors and promote their well-being through tailored strategies.
In this new onsite position, you will apply your skills in behavioral health to assess and manage care for seniors with mental health and neurological challenges. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to implement and monitor effective Behavioural Support Plans in various settings.

Your role will include advocating for clients and education for caregivers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive behavioral intervention plans

• Implement crisis management protocols for high-risk clients

• Train staff on reducing responsive behaviors

• Maintain relationships with clients based on trust

• Participate in necessary training and team meetings
Requirements:

• Degree in Nursing, Psychology, or similar

• Three years experience with elderly clients

• Knowledge of behavioral models and intervention strategies

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle access
