Step into the role of a Physiotherapy Assistant committed to enhancing resident rehabilitation in long-term care. Work closely under a Physical Therapist's supervision to facilitate effective treatment programs tailored to individual needs.
Your responsibilities will include leading exercise sessions, documenting resident progress, and assisting with daily mobility tasks. With your proactive approach to monitoring health status, you will ensure comfort and safety for all residents during their rehabilitation process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead group and individual exercise programs
• Motivate residents to achieve treatment goals
• Keep accurate records of therapy sessions
• Facilitate residents' safe transfers and mobility
• Monitor changes in health and report as necessary
Requirements:
• Graduate or similar qualification in Physiotherapy Assistance
• Excellent ability to multi-task under stress
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication
• Experience in long-term care or retirement settings advantageous
• Current police check for Vulnerable Sector needed
