Location: The Blue Mountains
Join Southbridge Care Homes as a Dietary Aide, helping promote nutritional wellness in Thornbury, Ontario. You'll assist in meal prep, service, and keep our kitchen inviting and safe.
In this part-time role, you will report to the Food Service Manager, focusing on delivering quality care through meal preparation and service. Your responsibilities will include accommodating dietary needs and ensuring cleanliness in the dining areas. This position allows you to make a meaningful difference in residents’ daily lives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle food safely, ensuring proper storage and labeling
• Assist cooks with meal preparations and cooking
• Serve meals in accordance with dietary guidelines
• Clean and maintain kitchen and dining environment
• Follow safety protocols related to food service
Requirements:
• Enrollment in or completion of a Food Service Worker Program
• Possession of a Safe Food Handling Certificate
• Caring disposition and passion for service
• Strong communication abilities, verbal and written
• Completion of TB test and vulnerable sector check
