We have 3 casual PSWs vacancy available for MALE PSW/DSW for our high behavior community clients. The ideal candidate drives their own reliable car, holds a current CPI blue card or Safe Management certificate, or has 3+ years experience with youth with high behaviors such as ADHD, Autism, etc. Scheduling is flexible, after school hours mostly, 4 hour shift blocks and open availability is an asset.

Evenings and night availability are a requirement.

Job Benefits:

• Pay $25.00 per hour
• Benefits Plan available after working 30+ hours per week*
• 4% Vacation Pay on every pay
• Flexible hours

The successful candidate’s areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and personal care including eating, dressing, transferring, toileting, hygiene, grooming, and bathing as per client's care plan
• Supporting client with any assigned exercises daily if required
• Providing medication support and management
• Providing cognitive, social, emotional, behavioral and spiritual support
• Able to reapproach and understand avoiding triggers.
• Comfortable driving clients to events, community activities in own vehicle
• Maintaining open communication with client and family
• Monitoring care plan and adding detailed documentation with any changes and updates
• Responding to all emergency situations
• All other duties, as assigned

Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:

• PSW/DSW certification from a public college/learning center OR additional NACC certification is required
• PSW experience of over 3 years is

• Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid drivers license
• Valid CPR/First Aid certification
• Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check within last 6 months
• CPI BLUE CARD or Safe Management is requested, but not required
• 2 Satisfactory professional references
• Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
• Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters
